The machine Ariston shows the error F02, F2 on the display almost immediately after the start of work. It happens that there is a set of water, then something clicks - and the drum, twitching, scrolls through the laundry. This code talks about tachometer problems.
At the initial stage, the error F2 can be displayed in the middle of the washing process, then already when the machine is turned on.
Error decoding
What does it mean if the Ariston washing machine gives an F02 error on the scoreboard? The cause may be a breakdown of the tachometer. Perhaps a short circuit has occurred or the contacts between the engine and the tacho sensor have burned out. Subsequently, the drum does not spin; DTC F2 is displayed.
Models of Ariston washing machines differ in control methods. Therefore, the error F 2 is issued differently in electronic and electromechanical systems.
Model from the Ariston Margherita series with 2 indicators: the Network LED flashes twice with an interval of 5-15 minutes. The “Key” - “Lock” LED is on, the switch clicks, rotates clockwise.
Ariston СМА type AML, AVL, AVSL: “Quick wash” LED flickers, “Key” lamp flashes even more often.
Hotpoint-Ariston washing machine from the series ARL, ARSL, ARXL, ARMXXL: the End of program (END) indicator blinks, all program lamps (bottom) are on.
Hotpoint Ariston Aqualtis (AQSL) cars: 30 ° temperature indicator flashes.
Knowing what the error code means, you can start troubleshooting.
Problem definition
There are times when you can remove the F2 error without resorting to repair. How to fix it:
- Reboot the washer for 20 minutes to clear the error, then turn it on. If the cause is a system failure, the code will no longer appear.
- If a small object is stuck between the drum and the tank (coin, bra bone), the machine will not start washing. Try to disassemble the AGR and get the item.
- Check the contacts between the tachometer and the control module. Perhaps the connection has departed.
But what if the actions did not help? Pay attention to the work of SM Ariston. If the cause is a tachogenerator, then the machine does not control the number of revolutions. For example, when washing, the revolutions increase sharply, while during the spin cycle they are not enough. At the exit, you get poorly wrung out laundry, because the tachometer controls the speed of the engine.
Self check
To check the Hall sensor, you need to get to it:
Check with a multimeter. Resistance should be no more than 60 ohms.
There is another way:
- Set the tester to measure voltage. Connect a multimeter and rotate the engine by hand. If the voltage rises (0.2 V), then everything is in order.
- Additionally, check the bolt that secures the tachogenerator. If it is loose, pull it up.
Solution options
How to fix the problem if the Hall sensor fails the test? This part rarely breaks, the main reason for failure is the overload of SM Ariston. There is only one option - replacing the tachogenerator. You need to disconnect it from the engine:
- Remove the cover on the latch, it can be bolted.
- Now unscrew bolts of fastening of the gauge.
- Install the new part in the reverse order.
If done correctly, this will help solve the problem. The washer will work in normal mode, and error F02 will no longer appear.
